S/4HANA Cloud Application Consultant – Sales & Distribution

Job Summary: 

To join the S/4 HANA Cloud practice within Sapphire. The Application Consultant will need skills in SAP Sales & Distribution. Knowledge of S/4 HANA Public Cloud or certification in this product is a distinct advantage. Knowledge of S/4 HANA on premise / Private cloud with the right level of experience, certifications and attitude is advantageous. This will be to work initially on mid-market projects in the UK and therefore experience of working in the mid-market is an advantage. 

Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Work on client projects to provide SAP consultancy at a functional level. 
• Undergo SAP Certification in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. 
• Travel to client site as and when needed in USA. 
• Some opportunity to work remotely depending on client requirements. 
• Provide input into pre-sales opportunities as and when needed. 
• Provides specialist subject matter expertise in line with the solution. 
• Takes total ownership of delivering solutions and value to the customer by leading SD module in assigned client projects. 

• Involved in analysing client’s requirements and create documentation like functional specs., functional design, test plans, test cases, back-out plans, testing results., root cause analysis document for SD area. 
• Executing the needed changes in configuration.  
• Resolve any specific functional defects as part of project build.  
• Working on design of Interfaces and ability to resolve Interface issues (dealing with middle ware and frontend issues). 
• Maintains an up to date knowledge and zest for the latest trends and utilises this understanding to bring innovation to our ways of working. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

To fulfil the role of Application Consultant you will need to demonstrate the following attributes:  

Technical – good working knowledge of the following areas of SAP. 

• Full cycle Implementation Experience in SAP R/3 or S4 HANA On-premise or Cloud. Diverse experience which includes Business Process Analysis, Implementation Process, SAP System Configuration, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance, End-user training, and Production support.  
• Experience in working on implementations / Roll Outs / Global Production support. 
• SAP Sales Master data management. 
• Strong working knowledge in pricing. 
• SAP Quotations and Contracts. 
• SAP Sales /Service / Solution Orders, Delivery and Billing management. 
• SAP Rebates and Incentives. 
• SAP Claims, Returns and refund management. 
• Business Technology Platform – Integrations, Workflows & Extensions 

• Should be able to handle the requirements / issues related to EDI/IDOC  
• Integration with 3rd Party External Systems (SAP/Non-SAP) 

• SAP Systems: SuccessFactors, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), etc. 
• Non-SAP Systems: Shopify, Avalara, Blackline, etc.

Education, Experience, and other skills: 

• University degree or an equivalent technical/IT education  
• 8+ years of SAP Experience 

• Ideally 4 years with S/4 HANA “on premise” version 
• Ideally 6 months plus S/4 HANA Cloud experience 

• Strong communication skills. Needs to effectively and proactively communicate 
• Demonstrated initiative, works independently, effective decision making 
• Achieves results in a timely manner 
• Analytical, Problem Solving and Conceptual Skills 
• Reports to Project Manager and escalates risks and issues as necessary 
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management.

Pay & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is from $120,000 - $180,000 USD + a variable compensation component based on individual, team, and company performance metrics.
